  1. LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (Dec. 17, 2015) — On Dec. 17, guests and fans will be among the first to celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens during a sold out, special-ticketed Star Wars: The Force Awakens Opening Night event at Walt Disney World Resort.

    Starting at AMC Disney Springs 24, ticketed guests will walk a red carpet, past banners and spot lights, to the first public showings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens between 7 and 8 p.m.

    After the movie, fans will enjoy a private after-hours party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios until 2 a.m. The party will include access to new Star Wars experiences, including Star Wars Launch Bay, Star Tours — The Adventures Continue attraction and more.

    The next night, on Dec. 18, Disney’s Hollywood Studios park guests will experience the first official display of the “Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular’’ fireworks show inspired by the Star Wars saga. The 11 p.m. fireworks spectacular will be streamed live on the Disney Parks Blog website and shared with news media.

    • A live stream of the “Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular’’ fireworks show can be found on the Disney Parks Blog to use live on air in 11 p.m. newscasts on Dec. 18. The live stream will start at 10:50 p.m. with fireworks at 11 p.m., lasting six minutes, followed by live interviews.
